Wettbewerbe
Das motiviert;
Vor einiger Zeit gab es bei Warlord einen Malwettbewerb zu dem Thema Schiffsbemalung - Black Seas.
Nun, da ich mich schon seit einiger Zeit mit diesen Miniaturen beschäftige und auch einiges in Arbeit ist, war der erste Gedanke; da mach ma doch mit.
Dann durfte ich bestaunen, was andere Modellbaukollegen so in diesem Maßstab (1:700) vollbringen, und der Gedanke war dann rasch verflogen; besser doch nicht, man will sich ja nicht blamieren.
Diese Gedankengäng...e mit mal ja, mal nein, dazwischen ein vielleicht, schwirrten so ca. 3 Wochen herum.
Und wie das Leben so spielt, nach dem Genuß mehrerer Hopfenkaltschalen, waren dann alle Bedenken dahin und Fotos meiner bemalten Flotte wurden eingereicht. Es geht ja nur um´s Dabeisein.
Nun verstrichen wieder ein paar Wochen, an den Wettbewerb hatte ich nicht mehr gedacht. Und dann kam ein Mail des Wettbewerbveranstalters mit den Worten "Fleet Painting Competition Winner". Aha
Ich konnte es nicht glauben, aber tatsächlich, bin ich unter den Gewinnern gelandet. Dazu muss ich erwähnen, dass ich bei Wettbewerben nie etwas gewonnen habe.
Das war ja mal eine besondere Überraschung, und genau das motiviert.
Anbei habe ich mir erlaubt den Screenshoot anzufügen.
Jedoch habe ich aus Gründen des Datenschutzes sämtliche Namen der anderen Teilnehmer und Gewinner geschwärzt.
That motivates;
Some time ago, Warlord ran a painting competition on the subject of ship painting - Black Seas.
Now that I've been working with these miniatures for some time and there is also some work in progress, the first thought was; come along.
Then I was allowed to marvel at what other model building colleagues are doing on this scale (1: 700), and the thought was quickly gone; better not, you don't want to be embarrassed.
These trains of thought with sometimes yes, sometimes no, maybe in between, buzzed around for about 3 weeks.
And as life goes, after enjoying several cold bowls of hops, then all concerns were gone and photos of my painted fleet were submitted. It's all about being there.
Now a few more weeks passed, I hadn't thought about the competition anymore. And then came an email from the competition organizer with the words "Fleet Painting Competition Winner". Aha
I couldn't believe it, but actually, I ended up among the winners. I have to mention that I never won anything in competitions.
That was a special surprise, and that's exactly what motivates you.
